Privacy Policy
We collect as little as we can, and we delete it when you're done.
Draft: this policy describes what the product actually does today, but it has not yet been reviewed by an attorney and may need state-specific additions before launch.
What we collect
- Your email address, so you can sign in and reach what you bought.
- The case information you enter or upload: the court, case number, the company suing you, the amount claimed, the allegations, and your answers to our questions.
- Which lessons you have marked complete, and which documents you have generated.
What we never collect
- We do not ask for your Social Security number, your date of birth, or your driver's license number.
- We do not store full credit card or bank account numbers. Where an account appears in your lawsuit, we keep only the last four digits.
- We never see or store your payment card details. Payments are handled by Stripe.
- We do not use passwords. Signing in uses a one-time link sent to your email.
Your documents
- When you upload a lawsuit, it is used to fill in your case details and is not kept on our servers afterwards.
- Documents you generate download directly to your device. We keep your case details so you can rebuild a document without starting over.
How long we keep it
- Case information is deleted automatically 18 months after you last use it. Every time you work on your case, that clock resets, so an active case is never deleted out from under you.
- You can delete your case information yourself at any time from your account page.
- We keep a record of what you purchased, so that deleting your case data does not cost you access to something you paid for.
Who can see it
- Only you. Your records are restricted at the database level so no other customer can read them.
- We do not sell your information. We do not share it with debt collectors, law firms, or advertisers.
- We use service providers to run the product, including hosting, our database, email delivery, and Stripe for payments. They only handle what they need to provide their service.
Your choices
- You can see everything you own on your account page.
- You can delete your case information at any time.
- You can ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to delete your account entirely, by emailing support@consumerwarrior.com.
